Abstract Submission
The meeting’s official language will be English.
Abstracts should be submitted via your "Personal Area" after registration. Please, login using the login and the password provided during the registration process and then proceed with "abstract submission".
Please use the Microsoft Word file.
The abstract must not exceed one A4 page. Decision between flash and oral communications will be made by the scientific committee upon evaluation of the submitted abstracts. The abstract file should be saved as follows: name_surname.doc (or docx). Each participant can submit only ONE abstract as presenting author, for flash or oral communication, and this should be indicated upon submission.
The deadline for the reception of abstracts is the July 19, 2024.
The participants will be informed by e-mail about the acceptance of their contribution and the type of their presentation by the July 26, 2024.
Accepted abstracts will be published in the Book of Abstracts (only abstracts of registered participants will be included).
IUCr Young Scientist Award
The International Union of Crystallography supports the SMARTER8 event by sponsoring the IUCr Young Scientist Award, targeting early-career scientists (graduate students, post-graduate students or post-doctoral fellows within 5 years of receiving a graduate degree.
A maximum of 8 stipends will be awarded by the selection committee (up to 400 € / each) to cover travel and subsistence expenses of the candidates.
